The volume brings into focus the bearing of state-centric traditional security perceptions on the expansions of bilateral economic cooperation. It urges for a comprehensive bilateral engagement between India and Bangladesh for the welfare of people acros the border.
About Author :
Gurudas Das (1960-) is poresently a faculty, Department of Humanisties and Social Sciences. National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam. Earlier he took teaching and research assignments in North Eastern Hill University, Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development and St. Anthony's College. His major contributions include: Tribes of Arunachal Prades in Transition (1995), Liberalization and india's North East (eds.1998), Border Trade: North East and Nieghbouring Countires (eds, 2000), Dimensions of Development in Nagaland (eds, 2002), Dimensions of Rural Development in North East India (eds, 2004), Structural Change and Strategy of Development: Resource-Industry Linkages in North Eastern Region (ed, 2005), Indo Myanmmar broder Trade: Status, Problems and Potentials (eds, 2005).
C. Joshua Thomas (1960-) is presently the Director of the ICSSR North Eastern Regional Centre, Shilong, Meghalaya. Earlier he worked at the Department of Political Science, Madras Christian College, Chennai. Wangkhao College, Mon, Nagaland and Union Christian College, Barapani, Meghalaya. His areas of interest include: issues related to ethnicity, insurgency, peace process, border trade and displacement in northeast India.
