About the Book

This work attempts to decorate the exploding field of "Electroacoustic Transducers", focusing the conceptualization, design, development, modeling, simulation, and manufacturing of transducers like microphone, woofer, and miniature-loudspeaker. Also, a loudspeaker in 4C products like earbud and insert earphone is targeted. Modeling, simulation, fabrication, and testing are 4 main pillars of this work. Dynamic Analogy using equivalent circuit is used to develop analytical model aided by micro-tensile test and finite element simulation. Laser vibrometry and an anechoic chamber measurement are aided with parametric simulations to expedite design and development. A handful discussion is aimed for an electret condenser microphone. Performance of 10" woofer is visualized by reverse engineering. Four miniature-loudspeakers are simulated and designed. Diaphragm and magnetic motor modifications are tried to reduce total harmonic distortion of circular and elliptical miniature-loudspeakers. An earbud and insert earphones are also designed, simulated, and tested. Anyone involved in electroacoustic transducer study, research, development, and manufacturing can get benefited by using this work.
