About the Book

JUDGE GEO W. TRAMMELL WAS A TOUGH, NO-NONSENSE JUDGE who presided over criminal cases in Los Angeles for over a quarter of a century. Trammell's independence, his determination to stick by his beliefs, was a trait often noted by lawyers who appeared before him.. "Trammell is more concerned with serving justice than with the technicalities of the law. He looks at what is fair, rather than throwing up his hands and saying, 'my hands are tied.' He works very hard to make sure that justice is accomplished in his courtroom." - Los Angeles Daily Journal, June 19, 1995 HE WAS THE CAPTAIN OF HIS SHIP, THE MASTER OF HIS FATE, or so he thought. In 1996 Trammell's ship hit an iceberg and he found himself thrown into the freezing storm-tossed sea of life without a life preserver, struggling to keep his head above the icy waters, no longer in control of any aspect of his life. In a series of events that would seem to have sprung from a John Grisham mystery novel, the LORD comes to the rescue of the judge. This is the story of that amazing rescue. The plot line involves, at various times, the commission of a number of serious felony offenses: murder, kidnapping, witness intimidation and bribery, the appearance of jury tampering, sex, C-4 Plastic explosives, judicial improprieties, seductions, the involvement of the Southern California Asian Organized Crime Syndicate, allegations of rape and extortion. In a truly Hollywood ending that only the LORD could have scripted, the judge found himself vindicated and redeemed, with the LORD guiding the course and direction of his life through a jury trial he never was present at which ended with a surprise ending; and finally by a unanimous decision of The UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT.
