About the Book

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya, the renowned scholar and student of Ibn Taymiyya, authored many titles and his books remain popular to this day. In his title Key to the Blissful Abode (Miftah Dar al-Sa'ada), he discusses the importance of knowledge and will and their place in attaining to everlasting bliss. The work starts with a discussion of God's exile of Adam from Paradise and the subsequent blessings bestowed upon him. This is followed by different viewpoints regarding the nature of Paradise, the numerous ways of going astray and then the characteristics of the hearts that are saved from God's punishment. The final part of the book is concerned with aspects of Divine wisdom.
