About the Book

The book "MADiSINe" has no competition in today's satirical writing arena. It is a happy marriage of truth and humor. MADiSINe consists of 87 cartoons and more than 560 satirical aphorisms. This book is a political battle with Obamacare, dedicated to the great man eternally alive, President Ronald Reagan. Americans are famous for their ability to find a way out of the most difficult situations, but they are more famous for the ability to find a way in to them. I can live with what I disagree with but I can't live with what I'm forced to agree with. An apple fell on Newton's head and he discovered the Law of Gravity. What fell on Obama's head when he "discovered" Obamacare? A sick, socialist, alienated brain can't create an effective health care system. As a result, health care reminds one of hellcare or healthscare. The only exit from a lousy situation is to get out through the same entrance by which we came in. In a time of searching for the truth, searching for the right ways, I am turning to revelations from our "Founding Fathers." I admire Thomas Jefferson who said that people were not born with saddles on their backs, but free by the grace of God. "No man is good enough to govern another man without other's consent," said Abraham Lincoln. According to the Constitution, we are guaranteed rights for "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." What is our main property? It is ownership of our body and the right to make decisions about it, as long as this decision will not hurt another member of society. Let's see the real purpose of Obamacare. In the past, one well-known politician proclaimed: "Why do we have to nationalize factories and banks when we can nationalize the people?" His name was Adolf Hitler. Is it not frightening what path we have selected? Obamacare is against the Bible, against the teaching of our Founding Fathers and against the Constitution. It diminishes self-reliance, self-responsibility, and accountability. The most horrible result of socialized medicine is the creation of beggars and order takers. If your grandmother breaks a hip and instead of the doctor you must go to officials who are indifferent and not accountable for anything, they will respond that she is seventy-five years old and you can give her an aspirin. Their excuse will be that the country cannot spend big money on her because the country needs funds for productive citizens. So the retired people become expendable. Obamacare will force people to beg for their essential needs. People will lose their freedom, freedom of choice and what they have to do to save loved ones. People will be forced to give bribes to officials to get what they badly need. Society will become totally corrupt because criminals are not only the ones taking bribes, but the others forced to give the bribes. As a result a new class of bureaucrats will rise and seize power. Do we need this in America? We don't want fundamental transformation from a kingdom of freedom to one of serfdom. If the essence of our country is liberty, Obamacare is an attempt to steal our identity. "I do not believe that Washington should do for the people what the people can do for themselves through local and private efforts," said President John F. Kennedy. I absolutely agree with him and therefore I have written this book.
