Since it locates itself at the extreme south of the state Jammu & Kashmir, the climate is extremely hot and dry during summer - making it very similar to Pakistani areas of Jehlum and Gujar Khan. The most of its bushy landscapes, stretching from Bhimber to Dadyal, are barren - leaving only a small stretch of fertile land in the surrounding of Mangla water.
