About the Book

Naxalism and Maoism is an emperical pioneering study, based on the field study of the affected states like Odisha, Chhatisgarh, some parts of the Andhra and Jharkhand and passing reference of Maharastra. Naxalism and Maoism is considered as one of the greatest threats to internal security of the country. It has been started from one place, and now it spreads like wild fire to make a serious impact on the peace, security and development of these states. It is believed that such type of outfit has international connection like 151 and other and international terrorist organisations. Naxalism and Maoism came into existence due to shabby treatment meted out to the lower strata of the society including tribal people. They are deprived, neglected and subject to the discrimination in their day-today life. This movement was started with the ethos of ideological value. But now, it has turned into a dangerous way with its divisive and destructive attitude. This book has explored all the prognosis of this movement. It 's main purpose is to transform and motivate them into a constructive way so that people who are involved in this anti-social and anti-development activities, could extend their hands for the development of the society. So, t his book is immensely beneficial to bureaucrats, policy-makers, judiciary, researchers, teachers, activist, and journalists.
