About the Book

About the Author

Kaveh Pahlavan is a Professor of ECE, a Professor of CS and Director of the Center for Wireless Information Network Studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is also a visiting Professor of Telecommunication Laboratory and Center for Wireless Communications at the University of Oulu, Finland. His area of research is location aware broadband sensor and ad hoc networks. Mika Ylianttila is a professor of Information Technology at the Information Processing laboratory and MediaTeam at the University of Oulu, Finland. He teaches courses in the areas of information networks and digital media processing and leads research projects with an emphasis on prototyping mobile middleware and novel applications in Symbian and other mobile platforms. Sassan Iraji is currently a project leader at the Computing Architecture Laboratory, Nokia Research Center, Helsinki, Finland. His research interests are in digital signal processing, communications theory, wireless local connectivity and hardware architecture for wireless communication systems. He serves as an Industry Advisory Board member to EU initiative on seamless connectivity for future embedded systems (ARTEMIS).
