About the Book

A unique and significant poetry anthology combining major poets from Northern Ireland and introducing, alongside them, younger poets, all of whom have built rapid and substantial reputations since the Belfast Agreement. These are the poetic voices of The New North. Featuring Heaney, Mahon, Longley and Carson, the book unites these with poems by younger writers who are changing the poetic landscape of Northern Ireland: Leontia Flynn, Nick Laird and Sin'ad Morrissey, to name but a few.
