Many years ago on one of the many nights that I couldn't get to sleep, trying to relax and not think of anything so that I would eventually fall asleep, but try as I may the more I tried the more awake I felt. I started to hear voices in my ear and thoughts going through my mind about writing.
I'd always been interested in writing, even to writing book reviews at school. When we had finished reading a book from the school library we had to describe what it was about before being allowed to choose another one. Even fancied myself as a short story writer, but didn't think I was smart enough, so didn't try.
So, I'm in bed listening to these voices telling me I have to write a book. I thought 'they want me to write a book! You need to get started on it.' I asked what it was they wanted me to write about and they said "about the past lives we've shown you and the proof of the continuance of life". I said "I haven't experienced very much of life yet". "You've experienced what we want you to pass on, it will help a lot of people."
Then they wouldn't let up, just kept on and on all night long repeating this request. This happened when I was a young woman of twenty and had just got married.
I have often thought about it through the years but never even started to write it, until now! If I had done as I was asked all those years ago, I would have been one of the first to write about reincarnation. That was the main reason spirit wanted me to write about it, as I'd had the experience of it, when I was six and again at twelve years old and again when I was sixteen.
There were many more people then that didn't believe in reincarnation, or life after death. Because I put off writing about it for so long, it may not be quite so helpful now as it would have been sixty years ago. It is much more accepted now and there are many more books and television programmes etc. available on the subject. But hopefully this book will still help some people, even though we're into a new age now and the energy is more advanced than when I was young and experiencing the events that I did.
Many years ago I entered a short story competition and had to write a true story. When I won a prize for my entry l was inspired and thought well maybe l can write a book. I think it was the "powers that be" at work again - they still wanted me to write this book.
Over the years I knew the spirit still wanted me to write, even after sixty years, thinking about it but not 'getting on with it', so they gave me an incentive and brought 'my past life son' into my life, if only briefly, to encourage me to write this. So I have at last relented, with the promise of seeing him again when the book is finished.
I named my book One Soul Many Lives because I've been privileged to see and sometimes experience quite a few of my past lives all throughout this life. In writing about them I hope that maybe it will inspire others to look into theirs. If you have a phobia and always wondered why, knowing about a past life can sometimes give you the answer.
