Nota del EditorEn 2021 se cumple el 60° aniversario de la publicación de Cavalcare la Tigre, una obra que todavía hoy tiene resonancias y cuyo campo de aplicación excede a los movimientos que se reclaman "fascistas". Su autor, Julius Evola, nunca fue "fascista", es más, realizó una crítica al fascismo (Il fascismo visto dalla Destra), a pesar de que conoció personalmente a Mussolini (también se encontraba presente en el Cuartel General de Hitler cuando el Duce llegó tras ser liberado por los comandos especiales de Otto Skorzeny), pero, en la postguerra, se convirtió en la referencia doctrinal para varias generaciones de neo-fascistas.Hemos traducido esta obra de la primera edición italiana (Citazioni, Ed. Volpe, Roma), publicada a principios de los años 70. Es un pequeño volumen que nos ha acompañado allí a donde la vida nos ha llevado. Hoy, las portadas, las primeras páginas y los índices se han perdido y el volumen, deshilachado y maltrecho por el tiempo, sigue ocupando un lugar destacado en nuestra biblioteca y en nuestro corazón. La falta de tiempo, nos había impedido traducirlo antes. Lo hemos acompañado de una Prefacio publicado por Gianfranco de Turris, presidente de la Fundación Julius Evola, escrito para una de las ediciones francesas de esta obra.Lo que el lector va a encontrar en las páginas que siguen no tiene nada que ver con el fascismo histórico, pero sí con una parte de las ideas que el fascismo encarnó en la primera mitad del siglo XX. Evola nos enseñó que las ideas fascistas solamente tenían valor en la medida en que representaban, para el hombre del siglo XX, ideas y valores de "siempre", presentes en nuestra gran Tradición occidental. Por eso lo hemos incluido en esta coleccción.Leer a Evola no es fácil, traducirlo todavía resulta más complicado. De hecho, si el impacto del pensamiento evoliano en el área hispana ha sido menor se ha debido a la mala calidad de buena parte de las traducciones. Evola utilizaba una forma muy particular de construcción de las frases que precisa una adaptación continua para su comprensión fuera de la lengua de Dante. Y esa adaptación no es siempre fácil de realizar. Hemos colocado entre corchetes traducciones de frases, habitualmente en latín y adaptado lo más posible el texto, respetando su espíritu.Es posible que algunas frases contenidas en esta selección puedan parecer "oscuras" a los lectores que poco familiarizados con la obra de Evola. Este volumen es una incitación a la lectura de este autor y, tan solo es una introducción general a las temáticas que trató. No es, en absoluto una exposición completa y sistemática de su obra.De Turris en el prefacio explica que esta obra se elaboró para que los militantes neofascistas dispusieran de un "manual" equivalente al "Pequeño Libro Rojo" de Mao Tse Tung. Es significativo que China sea la futura potencia hegemónicay que su lema sea "Un país, dos sistemas", aludiendo al capitalismo y al socialismo. Quien haya leído el Revuelta contra el Mundo Moderno, la obra cumbre de Evola, recordará que, en su último capítulo, el autor ya afirmaba la colusión entre ambos sistemas. La China actual, heredera de la China construida por Mao terminó reconociendo, en la práctica, su identidad de objetivos con el mundo capitalista. Ahí están los hechos que lo demuestran cada día. También en esto, Evola tuvo razón.
