About the Book

Perspectives on Wittgenstein's Unsayable is an attempt to express the realm of Wittgenstein's showable. The issues of this anthology are both traditional and contemporary since it deals with Wittgenstein's Unsayable as well as its Post-modern Critique. It brings out the Wittgensteinian issues such as meta-ethics as non-sense, Tractarian project of ethics, ethics as running against the boundaries, ethics of uncertainty, comparison between Kabir, Advaita Vedanta and Wittgenstein on mysticism and inexpressible, Wittgenstein on religious belief and the dichotomy between faith and reason, whether Wittgenstein was religious, Wittgenstein on relativism and fideism, critique of Wittgenstein's ideas on social issues and cultural critique of Wittgenstein. The book is full of insights for undergraduate, post-graduate and research students of Philosophy and all those who are interested in the Philosophy of religion and ethics of Wittgenstein. About the Author

Dr. K.C. Pandey, b.1970, is a Reader in the Department of Philosophy, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. In the past, he has taught at the colleges of Delhi University, B.R.A. Bihar University, and Himachal Pradesh University. Dr. Pandey has completed U.G.C. I.U.C. 'Associateship' at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. He was selected for J.R.F (U.G.C) and Teacher Fellowship (U.G.C.), and recommended by Government of India for Commonwealth Fellowship at U.K. With awarded writings to his credit, he has published about 40 research papers in reputed journals and anthologies in India and abroad. His other published works are: Wittgenstein Ke Darshan Ki Ruprekha (An Outline of Wittgenstein's Philosophy), Tulanatmak Darshan (Comparative Philosophy), Ecologival Perspectives in Buddhism and Ludwig Wittgenstein: Ethics and Religion.
