About the Author: Danielle Laraque-Arena, MD, FAAP, is the president of SUNY Upstate Medical University and CEO of Upstate Health System in Syracuse, NY. She is also professor of pediatrics, psychiatry, and public health and preventive medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She held the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Debra & Leon Black Endowed Professorship (2001-2010) and prior to coming to Syracuse in 2016, she was the Vice- President of the Maimonides Children's Hospital and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics at Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Bonita F. Stanton, MD, FAAP, is founding dean of the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University and president of academic enterprise for Hackensack Meridian Health. Before assuming this role, she served in leadership roles for 14 years at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, where she had been vice dean for research for the School of Medicine (2011-2016), chair of the Department of Pediatrics and pediatrician in chief at the Children's Hospital of Michigan (2002-2011), and president of University Pediatrics (2002-2012).
