He has written several textbooks for over ten diverse programming languages which comprise C, C++, Ada, FORTRAN, BASIC, Pascal, Java, and Modula-2. Koffman was honored with the SIGCSE Outstanding Contribution Award for an extraordinary record of curriculum development, teaching, publishing papers as well as numerous textbooks, and for helping to shape Computer Science education in the year 2009. Jeri R. Hanly is the co-author of Problem Solving And Program Design In C. She has also written undergraduate programming textbooks like Essential C++ for Engineers and Scientists, and C Program Design for Engineers.
