Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law, held in Washington D.C., United States in December 2017. It also contains the report and best written memorials of the World Finals of the 26th Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition held in September 2017.
About the Author: Rafael lectures regularly on international space law and satellite telecommunications law, and he is author of a range of articles and a book (in progress) on international space law. He is a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and the Space law Committee of the International Law Association (ILA). He is also a graduate of the International Space University (ISU - SSP 1996). Dr. P.J. Blount is an adjunct professor in the LL.M in the Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law and a Visiting Scholar at the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Law for the Fall of 2017. He also teaches in the Department of Political Science and Law at Montclair State University. He is the former Research Counsel for the National Center for Remote Sensing, Air, and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law. His teaching includes courses such Space Security Law, International Telecommunications Law, Cyberlaw, International Law, Human Rights Law, Intellectual Property, and US Foreign Policy. Tanja Masson-Zwaan is Asst. Professor and Deputy Director of the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University, The Netherlands. Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe SCHROGL is the Head of the Relations with Member States Department in the Director General's Cabinet of the European Space Agency (ESA, Headquarters in Paris, France). From 2007 to 2011 he was the Director of the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) in Vienna, Austria, the leading European think tank for space policy. Prior to this, he was the Head of the Corporate Development and External Relations Department in the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne, Germany. Currently he is the chairman of the Legal Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, the highest global body for space law making, comprising 73 Member States.
