About the Author: Eric R. Pearson is a recognized, industry expert in fiber optic communications. He has 34 years of experience in design, installation, testing, and training of fiber optic personnel. He is a BICSI Master Instructor, a Fiber Optic Association Master Instructor and a founder of the Fiber Optic Association (FOA). For 12 years, he was a Director and Vice President of Certification for the FOA. He has trained more than 8400 personnel in fiber optics. During the last 31 years, he has provided technical and marketing support to manufacturers, designers, installers, and attorneys.
