About the Author
Laura Cassell has been a full-stack web developer for over 15 years. Currently employed as a Software Engineer and Instructor for Big Nerd Ranch, Laura spends most of her time teaching Python and writing Javascript. She founded the Atlanta, GA chapter of PyLadies (an International women's outreach community for Python programmers) and spends her free time doing outreach for diversity in technology and teaching anyone who wants to learn all about the wonders of the Python programming language.
Alan Gauld has been an IT professional for almost 40 years working primarily in the telecoms industry designing and building applications and systems to support numerous product launches and operational initiatives. Projects have ranged from embedded microcontroller telephones and devices to large mainframe billing systems. As an Enterprise Architect projects have included large retail call centers, manual task allocation and order fulfilment systems as well as HR and BIS solutions.
