About the Book

First definitive biography of a monk who has become the chief minister of the most populous state of India. It captures the journey of a shy and introvert boy from the hills of Uttarakhand who has now become a man of consensus. On the 19th of March 2017, Uttar Pradesh woke up to its twenty-first Chief Minister and his swearing ceremony. There, the Yogi said, while taking his oath, I, Adityanath, take this oath in the name of the Lord ...! Nostalgic Indians got transported into the past; an era where the mystic sages, the wise and the learned were entrusted with the proceedings of a kingdom! The golden past of India is a standing testimony that kings were always guided by the Dharma Gurus, so as to exercise a check on the ruler. That the ruler did not gloat in self-glory and was indeed discharging his duties in a just and able manner. If one was to look at the Indian tradition and heritage, it would be rather conclusive that Dharma here, instills a sense of duty in one. India has stood tall, for it never allowed Dharma to be used the way it was used in Europe or even the Arab Nations. This is the reason that Indian religion has remained shrouded in mystery for the Sultans of Arabia, the Europeans, the intellectual Marxists, including those who assumed political offices in India itself, post-independence. This very lack of understanding has led to histrionics and disapproval from some mainstream journalists and intellectuals from India and certain Western countries. India has witnessed mass hysteria that a head Monk being crowned a Chief Minister, is nothing save a careful construction of the BJP and the RSS wanting to make India a Hindu Nation. Not wanting to appreciate India as a Nation; a tradition, these communities have even dismissed the authenticity of Manu, Vashisht, the first Yogi - King Rishabhdev, Rishabhdevs son Jadbharat; based on whose name India was christened, Vishwamitra, Parshuram, Rama and Krishna alike. While documenting historical facets, mythological evidence holds special eminence. However, the submerged city of Dwarka, the lost Ram-Setu in Rameshwaram, even the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya have all been brushed under the carpet as being imaginary. It is indeed noteworthy that the former, UPA Government had taken all measures to do away with the revered Ram Setu, while the Leftist historians claimed that the birth place of Ram is uncertain. Well, needless to mention, the reason why the Propaganda Brigade is in a tizzy, is because a Yogi is at the helm of affairs. However, for those who understand the culture, heritage and tradition of India, they have ample evidence of the country being ably governed and assisted by the sages, gurus and other wise men, even a thousand years ago. Said the ever-smiling Yogi to the ignorant, self-labelled intelligentsia, The Raj-Satta can be run by a Yogi alone! This book is not only the Yogis biography. It also has within its folds, the lucid history of Goraksh Peeth and the Gorakshnath, of which Yogi Adityanath is the chief. The book is also an attempt to sketch the foundation of the Nath sect.

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
