Inhaltsangabe: Zusammenfassung: Roter Drache vermittelt - Entscheidungsstrategien des Kinopublikums Aus der Perspektive des Nutzen- und Belohnungsansatzes werden in dieser Arbeit die Entscheidungsstrategien der Kinogänger untersucht. Dazu wird ein Modell der Filmauswahl vorgestellt, welches auf der Erwartung-Wert-Theorie basiert. Das Modell wird in der nachfolgenden Untersuchung empirisch abgeprüft. Die Stichprobe beläuft sich auf über 700 standardisiert befragte Kinogänger und vier narrative Interviews. Auf Grundlage der quantitativen Befragung wird das Filmauswahlverhalten der Kinobesucher erklärt und mithilfe der narrativen Interviews verstehend beschrieben. Ein beträchtlicher Teil der Filmselektion kann mithilfe des modifizierten Modells der Filmauswahl erklärt werden. Das größtenteils gut informierte Kinopublikum gründet seine Entscheidungen vornehmlich auf konkrete Filminhalte. Allerdings wählen weniger gut informierte Kinobesucher stärker nach globalen Genre-Kriterien aus, da ihnen genauere Filminformationen fehlen. Zusätzlich spielen auch soziale Motive nicht nur für den Kinobesuch an sich, sondern auch für die jeweilige Filmauswahl eine bedeutende Rolle. Je nach Entscheidungskontext variieren die Auswahlstrategien des Kinopublikums daher erheblich. Insgesamt sind die Kinogänger gewohnt, mithilfe einiger weniger Informationen treffsicher abzuschätzen, ob ihnen ein Film gefällt, um darauf ihre Filmentscheidung zu stützen.
