Wissenschaftliche Studie aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Physik - Akustik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Ausarbeitung zeigt, wie Veränderungen von Formanten, die ein Saxophonspieler willkürlich generiert, gemessen und beschrieben werden können. Frequenzabhängige Intensitätsspektren von Tonaufnahmen verschiedener Tenorsaxophonspieler weisen ein sehr hohes Signal/Fehlerrauschen-Verhältnis über den Frequenzbereich von 0-10.000Hz auf. Sie wurden für weitere Analysen mit einer zuverlässigen und präzisen Prozedur vermessen. Dabei kamen unterschiedliche Ansätze und Methoden zur Anwendung, um aus den Intensitätsspektren Formantenspektren abzuleiten. Es wurden Kriterien definiert, nach denen die Ergebnisse bezüglich ihrer Zuverlässigkeit und Validität bewertet werden können. Obwohl sich die evaluierten 4 Methoden zur Bestimmung von Formantenspektren unterscheiden, ergab sich bei Anwendung der 4 Methoden auf das identische Intensitätsspektrum für 2 Parameter eine hohe Übereinstimmung: 1)Identische Anzahl an identifizierbaren Formantenbändern und 2) nahezu identische frequenzabhängige Lage der Resonanzmaxima der identifizierbaren Formantenbänder. Es wurden allerdings für eine weitergehende qualitative und quantitative Analyse von Formantenbändern (die in Summe ein Formantenspektrum ausmachen), 2 der 4 Methoden sowohl aus praktischen wie auch aus theoretischen Erwägungen ausgeschlossen. Die Kurvenform von Formantenbändern konnte mit den in dieser Arbeit verwendeten Messverfahren nicht bestimmt werden. Es wurde die experimentell ermittelbare Resonanzkurve eines Pohlschen Resonators als Modell für die frequenzabhängige Kurvenform eines Formantenbandes betrachtet und die Bandbreite eines Formantenbandes wurde auf empirische Weise abgeschätzt. Mit der auf diese Weise ermittelten "typischen Resonanzkurve" eines Formantenbandes wurde versucht, Formantenspektren (Frequenzbereich: 0-10.000Hz) unterschiedlicher Tenorsaxophonspieler, die mittels der 2 präferierten Methoden bestim
