This book is a detailed exposition on Kashmir Shaivism . Lord Shiva is the embodiment of mystery. His true nature cannot be objectively known as it does not dwell in the domain of mind, speech, words or thought constructs. He stands above all dualities. Vedas are the only expression of Shiva in Mantra form. Shiva is the spiritual force that turns things around, draws them within and takes them back to the source. He is the lord of the cosmic sound Pranava and the source of cosmic rhythm, cosmic music and cosmic dance. Shiva is the great master who guides us in the spiritual path providing us with a cosmic view of the events occurring in our lives, leading us to non-reaction, taking us beyond the experiences of pleasure and pain and teaching us to remain as witness. Shiva is not the deity of mere intellectual meditation or a thing of self-analysis. He is the consciousness which turns the mind back into its source. Shiva takes us beyond the preconditions of mind, making us embrace the infinite. He is the reality that pervades all space, time, manifestation and beyond.
