About the Book

Shawn is a socially awkward 21 year old that tires to throw a party and invite some friends over. Sadly no one shows up because they knew it was going to be a dry party with no alcohol. Shawn starts learning that the only way to get girls to pay attention to him is if he starts drinking. Follow along on Shawn's journey to become a less socially awkward guy and make more friends and girlfriends. Shawn then started going to Piere's which is a bar and entertainment center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He started drinking soft alcohol the first time that he ever went there. He told the bartender that he had never drank alcohol before and she recommended he start with something simple like captain and coke. Shawn spent the entire evening slowly sipping on his captain and coke. He only had three of them that night. As the night went on Shawn started to observe the other people on the dance floor having a good time. He noticed that guys were dancing with girls and then he thought that it would be nice if he danced with a girl. The only problem was he did not know what to say and was a very socially awkward guy. He usually creeped girls out if he tried to talk to them and he did not want to cause a scene at the bar. Shawn starts crying as he realizes how different he is from all of his peers. He makes it a goal of his that night to be less socially awkward and learn how to get a girlfriend. Not knowing what to do and not wanting to admit to his parents or other guys that he did not know how to get a girlfriend he turned to Google and the internet for help. Read this book to see if Shawn was able to find the help he needed from Google or if he makes things worse by trying to learn how to get a girlfriend. You might be surprised on the answer. Follow Shawn's quest to be a less socially awkward guy and get a girlfriend. Here is an excerpt from the book. "He did not have to become an alcoholic or even drink every weekend like some people did. He just wanted to be more like the other kids and fit in. He would do that by drinking captain and coke for a while. Shawn could not help but notice all of the beautiful women that walked into Piere's. It was so crowded in there and Shawn had never been involved in such a big crowd or a huge party before. That was what it seemed like to Shawn. He thought he was at one of the biggest parties that he had ever been to in his life. He became very nervous and scared but his drink helped him calm down somehow. Drinking kind of takes the edge off and makes it seem like you do not care what other people are thinking about you. As the night went on Shawn noticed people moving to the dance floor with their drinks and having a good time. He desperately wanted to dance with some of those girls but it would be so hard for him to get them to dance with him. He wanted to try but he could not and he had not had enough liquid courage to do that just yet."
