About the Book

This book, "They Don't Eat Neckbones In Chicago" explores all the elements of love, hate, jealousy, betrayal and eroticism. The story centers around the life of a young man that lives in a public housing project who suddenly finds himself embroiled in a world of lust and erotic temptations. Initially, his only desire was to halt the trend of young men and women wasting their lives away. So he set out to create a program that would help those young men and women, living in the complex, change their mindsets and hopefully develop into competent and self-supportive adults. But along the way this unassuming young man would encounter challenges and temptations he had never anticipated in his wildest dreams. On one side of what eventually evolved into a love triangle was his extremely vain, conceited, and self-centered live-in girlfriend. Although she was also extremely attractive, she was anything but a joy to live with. One day he returns home and finds his girlfriend has invited her unassuming and extremely shy cousin, fresh in from the cotton fields of Mississippi, to move in with them. She would make up the second leg of the triangle. Being from a small rural state she honestly could not understand the often debilitating affect her physical measurements and deep southern accent began having on men both in college and the housing project where they lived. But the last side of the triangle involved a mysterious lady who had a secret agenda. However, she had been forced to conceal her surprisingly alluring physical attributes that absolutely dripped with eroticism and sex appeal. One day she would lure the young man to her apartment and present him with a "business proposal" that could be viewed as simply too good to be true. It was not every day a person would receive an offer that contains all benefits with no risk of injury or loss. In other words, the offer was just too good to be true. But the story did not end there. There was also a deceitful ex-best friend who would eventually play himself by biting off more than he could chew. Also in the picture was his boss that was a friend, but also extremely desirable, and a "high-yellow" young lady who was street-wise and mature beyond her tender age. However, her physical attributes were deceiving because she was underage. But one day she would prove she was more than simply an attractive and well-developed young lady. During an important meeting she would show maturity and a quick wit that would prove invaluable. With so much temptation littering his young man's path it wasn't long before each day became an adventure in eroticism. But as his relationship with his girlfriend continued to deteriorate, an act of betrayal would send him on a path he had never considered, but to a casual observer he was destined to take. Some would even say it was long overdue.
