Un collage de cuatro trabajos académicos ―artículos y capítulos de libros publicados años atrás― más un poemario, conectados por un hilo delgado que hilvana varias disciplinas y perspectivas en torno al tema del trauma y la esperanza. La primera parte es un trabajo introductorio donde se hace un breve recorrido por la hermenéutica como ámbito de estudio dedicado a la interpretación, haciendo referencia a sus orígenes, tanto filosóficos como teológicos, desarrollo e implicancias para las ciencias cognitivas y sociales, en particular. Se presentan también algunas conexiones plausibles con la metateoría constructivista contemporánea y la poética.La segunda parte del libro busca responder las siguientes preguntas: ¿Es posible ver el trauma psicológico más allá de una perspectiva centrada en lo irremediable, en la permanencia crónica del daño? ¿Puede lo traumático ser deconstruido? Desde un marco referencial posmoderno que se esboza brevemente, se aborda el trauma psicológico a partir un concepto, la deconstrucción, desarrollado por el filósofo argelino-francés, Jacques Derrida, conectándolo con los emergentes campos de investigación de la resiliencia y el crecimiento postraumático, como ejemplos de nuevos acercamientos a la superación de los efectos de la adversidad extrema, a nivel personal como comunitario. La tercera parte es un texto que en perspectiva interdisciplinaria, aborda los temas del objeto temático de la psicología ―comprendido como el sí-mismo― y el concepto de trauma, desde un enfoque que se dirige a una comprensión crítica y novedosa de ambos temas; especialmente desde los aportes de tres campos heurísticos: la antropología hebrea, la fenomenología hermenéutica heideggeriana y la neurofisiología de los procesos de memoria. Por medio de bloques argumentativos se presenta una visión del sí-mismo que nos permite comprender los eventos traumáticos y sus consecuencias como fenómenos hermenéuticos dinámicos, que pueden ser asumidos por parte de las víctimas, como también por los agentes asesores y de acompañamiento, desde una perspectiva mucho más abierta y esperanzada que la que suele ser habitual en el campo psicológico y médico del estudio y tratamiento del trauma.La cuarta parte de esta obra es un trabajo que realiza un acercamiento al estudio del trauma desde el campo del afrontamiento religioso y el crecimiento postraumático, que busca indagar el potencial que presenta la realidad eclesial, particularmente de tipo pentecostal, para el fomento del afrontamiento religioso positivo, asociado al desarrollo personal de individuos después de haber experimentado un evento traumático. Se hace una reseña documentada de los conceptos principales y se entregan algunos aportes desde una perspectiva aplicada.Por último, la parte final de esta obra es un texto poético inédito que aborda el proceso de experimentación de un evento traumático y su costoso, pero factible, afrontamiento positivo. Espero que esta recopilación de trabajos desde la psicología, la hermenéutica, la deconstrucción, la fe y la poesía, animen la esperanza para quienes enfrentan eventos de marcada adversidad y para quienes los apoyan.
