FOr die unterschiedlichsten in der Praxis auftretenden Isolierprobleme existieren viele Materialien mit Wert en geringer Warmeleitfahigkeit, die als Isolierstoffe bezeichnet werden. MOssen aber Krafte oder Mo- mente in einem isolierten System von einem Ort hoher Temperatur zu einem Ort tiefer Temperatur oder umgekehrt Obertragen werden, so ist die Isolierschicht bei den bisherigen Isoliermaterialien an den Stellen der Kraft - MomentenObertragung zu unterbrechen, da diese Stoffe nur geringe mechanische Eigenschaften besitzen. Es entstehen Warme- bzw. KaltebrOcken. Von den hier untersuchten 8aueinheiten, die modifiziert z. B. - in der Ofentechnik, - in der Tieftemperaturtechnik, - bei Luftfracht-KOhlcontainern etc. eingesetzt werden konnen, wurden in Experimenten die Warmeleitwerte bzw. Warmewiderstandswerte bestimmt. Dazu wird bei allen Baueinheiten die Isolierwirkung der Kugelkontakt- flachen ausgenutzt, d. h. handelsObliche Walzlagerkugeln aus Stahl oder Glas werden als "Schicht" zwischen zwei oder mehreren Metall- platten oder zylindrisch angeordneten Rohren verspannt. Die beiden Platten haben dabei unterschiedliche Temperaturenj den Walzlagerkugeln fallt dabei eine neue Bedeutung als "statisches Konstruktionselement" bei Isolierproblemen zu.
