About the Author: Merrianna McCully began her twenty-six-year career in the newspaper industry as a receptionist and retired as the prepress manager overseeing a handful of departments.
In her spare time, McCully fed her passion for Major League Baseball by using her knack for numbers as a statistician and analyst. For fifteen years, she worked for well-known MLB broadcaster and former big league starting pitcher Jim Kaat. She provided her services for CBS Sports, ESPN, the MSG Network, and YES Network, as well as Inside Sports Magazine. In 1992, Minnesota Twins general manager, Andy MacPhail also signed McCully into a multiyear contract for her unique skills.
While still crunching numbers, McCully also enjoys gardening, writing, crafts, and her dog, Duster. She always knew she would one day write about her fairy tale adventure through the wonderland of Major League Baseball, which she now shares in her book, Three Up - Three Down.
