The list excludes cities located in Sogn og Fjordane. Vik is a municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center of Vik is the village of Vikoyri. Vik was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The original municipality was identical to the Vik parish (prestegjeld) with the sub-parishes (sokn) of Hopperstad, Hove, Arnafjord, and Kvamsoy. On 1 January 1964 the sub-parish of Kvamsoy (population: 363) was transferred from Vi.
