Anschließend wird das Veränderungspotenzial der Umwelt behandelt, welches einen entscheidenden Faktor für Unternehmen darstellt und eine Umgestaltung innerhalb der Organisationsstrukturen hervorruft. Äußere Veränderungen zwingen ein Unternehmen sich auch über die bestehende Lernkultur Gedanken zu machen, möglicherweise eine neue Lernkultur zu bestimmen, um auf den Wandel effektiver und nachhaltiger eingehen zu können. Aus diesem Grund wird die traditionelle Lernkultur der innovativen Lernkultur gegenübergestellt. Mit dem Führen einer innovativen Lernkultur wird auch die Führungskraft angesprochen. Moderne Führungskompetenzen fordern ein neues Anforderungsprofil für Führungskräfte, auf welches im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit näher eingegangen wird. Ebenso die Handhabung neuer Lernformen, wie das bereits erwähnte mediengestützte Lernen, ist einer neuen Lernkultur inbegriffen. Deshalb werden zwei Formen des E-Learnings, zum einen das Computer Based Training und zum anderen das Web Based Training, präsentiert. Ein Fallbeispiel der Siemens AG zur Weiterbildung des eigenen Führungspersonals soll das mediengestützte Lernen verdeutlichen. Ein anschließendes Fazit gestaltet das Ende der Seminararbeit.
