You are a spiritual being having a human experience. This journey will bring you many opportunities to learn lessons that must be learned for you to find your path towards The Way towards your Destiny; then along that long and narrow path of yours. Most of the experiences will look like either 'work' or 'problems, ' but you can choose to change your perspective and see them as important opportunities in your growth towards your Divine Creator. You were always Destined to be a light in this world. Others may then see it as a Light that is worth following. First, however, you are going to have to follow in the steps of those who have gone before you. It is important that you start off by developing a spirit of gratitude for all of those who have gone before you. It is a recently-discovered characteristic of this universe that, once one member of a group has learned a skill, all others of that group will find it easier to follow along. Many have gone before you, so your tasks towards and along The Way will be easier than they were for those who preceded you. With the communication that is now so easy on the Internet, you can find almost anything that you set your intention to find. Setting an Intention to find out Who you really are, and Why you are here, is vital to you and your moving on in your journey. One of the Great ones, Jesus The Christ of the Abrahamic tradition, followed these very effective steps: He learned all that he could, through study of the Holy texts of His tradition; He debated what he learned, so that He could know these things better; He taught what He had learned, both spreading the Good News and learning even more; and He lived His teachings. It is said that we should live our lives like a prayer, and He did that - so should we! There is a lot learning in this sequence, but the most important bit of learning is going to be how to unlearn what is not True. A vast majority of what you think that you know is just a set of beliefs, handed down to you from many sources. Most of these are, in either minor or major ways, not real Truth. Some were just passed down, uninspected for their validity, because that is how we often do things. These may be in error. In some cases we were taught things to keep us surviving in the state of Fear, so that some other fearful ones, who have money, possessions and power, can control us and how we feel. Others are misinterpretations of what happened when we were young, and some were inherited in our DNA. You cannot become who you should become until you let your over-reactions to situations help you find the false beliefs that are holding you back. Once you find them, there are ways of just letting them go. I am finding this easier with the benefit of an inner knowing and of laughter at them. Falsehood hates to be laughed at, but Love loves it. It is important for you to realize that you will not likely be supported in moving towards the straight and narrow path of The Way, or of moving along it either. You may have to let others stay stuck in their Fear-driven ways, while you learn how to live in Loving states. If you do become a more loving person, some of those who did not initially support you may choose to follow you, because of what they see in you because you tried to find and walk your own version of The Way. Others will never forgive you for your choice to live according to the dictates of Who you are and Why you are here. Pray for them, but move on yourself. In the end, all will work out as it should. The Good News is that all things really will work out as they should, but maybe not as quickly, or in particular details of the actual path, that you might think is best. That is all beyond your control and responsibility. Your focus has to be in becoming the best you that you can be. Once that happens, many wonderful things may happen to others, as they see what is happening with you. Go for it
About the Author: Jesuis Laplume is the nom de plume of Jim H. White, when I write on the coming together of Science and the spirituality of Religions. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty and spent forty years helping to move new Science into practice, sometimes adding bits to that Science where it was needed. I usually took a physical System Science role during that process, working with experts in the details, but assuming the role of the one who looked at the bigger picture; and tried to find the best questions to ask. I found, with few exceptions, that few present experts liked to be told that the Science had changed enough that they were going to have to change their ways. Sometimes their responses were vitriolic in nature. I worked in eight different fields of Science and Engineering and met many of the best in their fields. These were uniformly humble and had a wry sense of humor. They learned, with each success, that there was a great deal more to be learned; but could live with that. After I retired, I started studying spiritual matters, focusing on the spirituality of Religions. He joined a local group, still in operation more than 17 years later, called The Forum on Faith and Science and studied many more of the books, videos and other communications from the authors studied. This has been a long-standing habit of mine. After a string of five heart attacks, over a short span of 3 1/2 years, plus the second of two out-of-body experiences, I took my skeptical attitude up a notch or two and have learned a fair bit about what we do not know, in both Science and spirituality. I studied the Ancient Greeks who suggested that Science and Philosophy (spirituality being in that camp) are best seen as two sides of the one coin of all knowledge. I also saw that their warning, that Philosophy could not be done using the traditional tools of Science, was a legitimate one. While I am a great fan of Science, I can see that it has many limitations. No tool should be used outside of its range of usefulness and Science-based tools cannot normally be used in Philosophy. Quite a number of the books that the Forum studied were by those in Science, or Philosophy, who were using tools where they were not effective for the chores at hand. This is never a good situation.
