Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Theoretische (Erkenntnis, Wissenschaft, Logik, Sprache), Note: 2,0, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Fakultät für Philosophie, Wissenschaftstheorie und Religionswissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Der Wiener Kreis - Wissenschaftliche Weltauffassung und soziale Revolution, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Widerlegung der Metaphysik, die vom "Wiener Kreis" radikal kritisiert wurde. Das Mittel für die "Bereinigung" der Philosophie war das Sinnkriterium, das von Rudolph Carnap entwickelt wurde. Durch dieses Kriterium konnten ausgewählte philosophische Richtungen als sinnlos überführt und aller Berechtigungsgrundlage beraubt werden. Diese teils radikale Vorgehensweise ist in fast allen Veröffentlichungen des Wiener Kreises vorzufinden. Der "Wiener Kreis" war zweifelsfrei einer der interessantesten philosophischen Gruppierungen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Gegründet wurde der Wiener Kreis von Moritz Schlick in den 1930er Jahren in Wien, wobei Otto Neurath, Rudolph Carnap, Hans Reichenbach und Hans Hahn schon bald zu den Mitgliedern gezählt werden konnten. Die Philosophen setzten es sich zum Ziel, eine neue Weltanschauung, nämlich die "wissenschaftliche Weltauffassung" durchzusetzen, die Gottlob Frege's "neue Logik" als Grundlagen haben sollte. Als weitere Einflüsse können Wittgenstein, Russel und David Hume genannt werden. Ab Anfang der 1940er Jahre wurde die in der Philosophie, aber auch darüber hinaus, vielbeachtete Zeitschrift "Erkenntnis" vom Wiener Kreis herausgegeben, die dem Autor als Grundlage für die Analyse der Weltauffassung des Wiener Kreises dienen wird. Die Mitglieder des Wiener Kreises hatten es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die neue, wissenschaftliche Weltauffassung radikal durchzusetzen und somit in der Philosophie alle in ihren Augen unwissenschaftlichen Bereiche zu eliminieren. So sollten lediglich empirische Wahrnehmungen als hinreichendes Mittel für die Verifikation ein
