Anirudh SharmaDr. Anirudh Sharma has been working at the Department of Biotechnology, JIIT, since July 2023. Before joining JIIT, Dr. Anirudh Sharma worked as an assistant professor at the University Institute of Biotechnology, Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punja, from January 2019 to June 2023. He completed his PhD from the Department of Biotechnology at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2018. During his PhD, he qualified for CSIR-SRF in 2014 and availed of a of a CSIR fellowship. He got his Master's degree in Biotechnology from Choudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, in 2010. In the past, Dr. Anirudh Sharma had worked as a junior research fellow on a DAE-BRNS-sponsored project. During this project, he worked at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, at periodic intervals as part of the assignments under the sponsored project. He worked as a project fellow at INMAS-DRDO from July 2010 to July 2011. His core area of research is to develop a process for biofuel production from waste feedstocks through biocatalysis.
