Anthony Davis
Social Anthropologist Anthony Davis was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. He completed his undergraduate degree at St. Mary's University in Halifax, his M.A. at the University of Manitoba, and his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto. Dr. Davi has researched and written about fisheries issues for the past sixteen years, with articles appearing in scholarly journals, fishing industry publications and newspapers. He is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, where he continues to research and write about fisheries issues and life in small boat fishing communities.
