Barbara A. WardBarbara A. Ward was an associate professor of literacy at Washington State University as well as an adjunct instructor at the University of New Orleans. She taught students in every grade from K-12 while living in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has publshed several articles and book chapters and is particularly interested in the creative process of authors and illustrators. A former chair of the NCTE Excellence in Poetry for Children Committee, she has served on several book award selection committees, including the Stonewall and the YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award Committees.
