Eliza Buckminster Lee was renowned for her contributions to literature, which included novels, essays, and poetry. She wrote both under her own name and the pseudonym "Gossamer," and many of the issues and sentiments of the day were captured in her writing. 1830 saw the publication of "Delusion, or The Witch of New England," one of her most well-known novels.
