Evan David JonesIan Aisch was born in Tremadog, North Wales. His earlychildhood was spent in nearby Penrhyndeudraethwhere his backyard looked over the village and acrossto Tremadog Bay. Shortly after turning seven, his family took up the£10 offer to migrate to Austrlia, and settle in Echuca, Victoria, where Ian attended school. He studied Sociologyand Politics at Monash University in Melbournebefore working in the public service, first in Canberraand then Melbourne.
