Gary J. MillerGary Miller is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Miller holds an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas. He is the Master of Education and Principal Preparation rogram Coordinator and currently teaches school law, administration of special programs, and the final practicum. He is a member of the University Council for Educational Administration, American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education,Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas Council of Professors of Educational Administration, National Association of Elementary School Principals, and Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. He is a senior training and technical assistance associate for the Education Development Center in the role of Quality Measures (QM) facilitator providing group facilitation and technical assistance to teams of principal preparation program faculty at Texas and Nebraska universities using Quality Measures tools and protocols to conduct analytic program self-assessments as part of a continuous improvement strategy. In addition, Dr. Miller assists administrators and teachers in rural east Texas schools on teacher retention and school improvement.
