Jennifer Bailey WattersJennifer Bailey Watters , Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at the University of Texas at Tyler. Serving as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator befor moving into higher education, Dr. Watters now prepares instructional coaches and school leaders through graduate studies. Passionate about advancing instructional leadership pedagogy and scholarship, she is engaged in research mentorship, serves in leadership roles for several scholarly organizations, and was honored to be named 2023 Researcher of the Year by her colleagues in the College of Psychology and Education at the University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Watters’ research centers around school leadership learning to improve leadership attrition and advance school improvement outcomes.
