Harpal SinghDr. Harpal Singh is an Emeritus Professor at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and AIIMS Delhi, India with an extensive career in research and teaching spanning over four decades. He earnd his Ph.D. in 1982 from IIT Delhi, following an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Kanpur University in 1977. His research interests include Polymeric Biomaterials, Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery Systems, Antimicrobial Polymers for Water Disinfection, Medical diagnostics & Synthesis and Modification of Polymers for Biomedical and Industrial Applications. Prof. Singh has published over 140 research papers, 70 conference papers and holds 15 patents. His leadership roles include serving as Executive Director of Stanford India Biodesign and the School of International Biodesign at IIT Delhi. He has also completed numerous research and consultancy projects for various government and private organizations, cementing his reputation as a leader in biomedical engineering and polymer research.
