Jimoh Kayode AdewoleJimoh Adewole (Dr.) is presently an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and Head of Process Engineering Department, National University of Science & Technology, Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. He is also the Leader of the Process Design & Computatinal Engineering Research Group. He was previously a senior researcher in the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Sains, Malaysia, and King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia, respectively. He also holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Dr. Adewole’s research focuses on membrane technology for varieties of applications (gas separation, water and wastewater treatment, biomedical, energy generation and controlled release of oilfield chemicals); process intensification, modeling and simulation. Over the years, he has been working on cutting-edge research that involved experimental, modelling and simulation studies. Some of his projects were funded by Saudi Aramco, King AbdulAziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), College of Petroleum and Geosciences (CPG), National Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (NSTIP), and The Research Council of Oman (TRC). He has published more than 75 articles in about 25 prestigious international journals including the Journal of Membrane Science, the International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control, Waste and Biomass Valorization, the Journal of Polymer Research, book chapters, patents, and in many conference proceedings including the conferences of American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, etc. Dr Adewole is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Nigerian Society of Engineers, and American Society of Engineering Education.
