Katsunori Kai
Katsunori Kai, PhD. is a graduate of Kyushu University. He is a Professor at Waseda Law School. His major is criminal law (criminal negligence). He also specializes in regulation of assisted reproductive technology and withdrawal and withhoding of medical care of terminal stage patient, and has written books on these matters, including, Euthanasia and Criminal Law, Death with Dignity and Criminal Law, and Protection of Human Subjects and Criminal Law. He is a director of Japanese Association of Medical Law, Criminal Law Society of Japan and councillor of Japanese Association for Bioethics.
