Kristine M HarrisonDr. Kristine M. Harrison is an international education expert, post-doc research associate and honorary fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (U.S.A.), and language teacher. She is a global, bilingual education professional (Spanish/English);with experiences and expertise in teaching, language and education policy, and language pedagogy. Dr. Harrison has taught in the U.S., the Caribbean, Morocco, and Oman. 

She is building programs and courses at the Deep Institute, a new international university. She is on the editorial board for the Language Education Policy book series with the Deep Institute Press, and co-edited the 2nd book, Language Education Policy for Peace, with Dr. Francois Tochon; and the main writer and co-builder of the website for the International Network for Language Education Policy Studies. In addition to displaced and refugee education, her research agenda is about plurilingual language practices, "indigenous" models of education, reversing language and knowledge attrition due largely to schooling through multilingual education, and language teaching pedagogy. Her commitment is to multilingual education, taking into account that dominant languages (not only English) are usually favoured in schools. Her doctoral research was about the role of LEP and U.S.-imposed schooling and governance in creating/erasing the Indigenous identity in Puerto Rico and the role of language education policy there.
