Starting in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, her research and teaching skills were further developed at the University o Birmingham, United Kingdom, Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and Hiroshima University, Japan.
