Mary Brown Mary Brown is an experienced professional with many years of experience in the field of information security and health informatics. She has extensive experience in the health care industry and contributes to security and health informatics educationefforts including giving presentations, webinars, and workshops on a variety of related topics, Recent examples include a couple of ISC2 Think Tank webinars on security regulations and application security and a presentation at the Minnesota Government IT Symposium on the topic of the National Health Information Network. She is involved in a number of IT and information security professional organizations. She was selected as the Minnesota ISSA Security Professional of the Year for 2006 and received the Harold Able Distinguished Faculty award in 2009. Mary Brown has earned CISSP and CISA certifications and has an MS in Information Security. She is currently finishing up a PhD in IT Education with an emphasis in health informatics education. Mary teaches undergraduate courses in information assurance and security and health informatics for Capella University.
