D. in Agrometeorology and hs received recognition in the field of agriculture and agrometeorology including the National award Hari OM Ashram Prerit Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Research Award for his contribution in the field of space applications to agrometeorology. He serves as council member/secretary/editor of professional scientific societies and is a Fellow of the Earth Science Foundation.
