Rachel BlackmanRachel Blackman is a theatre maker, actress, writer and producer. She trained and worked as an actress in Australia before relocating to the UK where she is now based. As Artistic Director of Stillpoint, she has created four full length works includig three award winning solo plays: The Art of Catastrophe; Steal Compass, Drive North, Disappear and The Growing Room. Together they comprise: Triptych: Three Attempts at Love. In 2012 Rachel received commissions to create two shorter works. One for Fuel Theatre's Phenomenal People and the other by The Nightingale to create The Department of Unreliable Memoirs with Emma Kilbey. She is also one half of the ongoing two woman improvised play Katy and Rach. Moon Project is Rachel's fourth full length work and the first for two performers. It was created with a commission from Ovalhouse and the assistance of Arts Council England.
