Rhonda BoltonA Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years, Rhonda Bolton also has over 30 years experience as a Registered Nurse. Rhonda has also held certification in psychiatric mental health nursing since 1986 through the American Nurses Association. Rhnda has worked in both inpatient acute psychiatric care and in outpatient community mental health for over 20 years with the severe and persistently mentally ill who were diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, as well as with substance abuse issues, depression, and personality disorders. During this time, Rhonda directed a substance abuse treatment program that provided detoxification, day treatment, and crisis stabilization services for clients with both substance abuse and mental health issues. She also worked for the Department of Correction for 6 years where she provided medical services and assessment of mental health issues for inmates. Recently employed as a parish nurse for 10 years, Rhonda provided health and wellness education and supportive counseling for individuals and families. Rhonda's combined experience in these diverse settings is varied. Along with providing assessment, treatment, medication management, individual and group therapy, family and community education and training, psychiatric emergency services and case management, she also served as a consultant to hospitals, nursing homes, public health agencies, physicians, the court system, and law enforcement agencies.
