Robert GuyRobert Guy is Director of the Becoming America nonprofit educational initiative. A western-Pennsylvania native, he lives with his wife, Michelle, in Venango County, PA. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where he was the Huh Mercer scholar. Dr. Guy is passionate about unearthing overlooked stories and forgotten personalities, particularly those which represent Pennsylvania's uniquely diverse population, the peoples and communities in the American interior, and the complexities which America would eventually become. He has published several articles and books on the American Revolution, including Remembering William Thompson, which is the first major biography of the first colonel of the American army, who commanded Pennsylvania's troops at the outbreak of the American Revolution.
