Sayani Ray

Born and raised in the bustling streets of the eastern part of India, Sayani Ray's creative home for many years has been Kolkata. Sayani always loved to draw and doodle, and that passion just never faded. As a self taught artist, she is continuall inspired by children’s book illustrations and the worlds those images create in her mind. Sayani's art is all about expressing different emotions using her iPad, and sometimes clay or watercolours. She found herself lucky enough to work with Penguin Random House on her very first children's book project. When she's not dabbling in procreate, Sayani loves dancing, reading and listening to music. She also loves making friends, and more so if they come in the form of cats or dogs. If she wasn't an artist, she'd probably be a feline.
