Scott SegalPankaj K. Sikka, MD, PhD, is a staff anesthesiologist at Health Alliance and Emerson Hospitals in Massachusetts. He completed his anesthesia residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, a cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundatin and a PhD in pharmacology at LSU Medical Center. He has held academic faculty appointments at the University of California, San Francisco, the University of Pittsburgh and Harvard Medical School. He was the first ever to culture rat kidney cells in vitro, making it easy and inexpensive to perform experiments. He is a member of the task force on the ASA-SEE program.
