Seth S. FreiDr. Seth S. Frei is Assistant Dean and Chief of Staff in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University, where he also serves as Associate Professor of Instruction. He has taught at Texas State University for 15 years and vaues every opportunity to be in the classroom. 
Dr. Frei has taught various undergraduate and graduate courses in management and communication at Texas State University and the University of Texas at Austin, including Business Communication, Leadership and Communication, and Management of Organizations. His teaching has been recognized with multiple awards, including the College Achievement Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Award for Excellence in Online Teaching. 
One of Dr. Frei’s points of pride is teaching on an annual education abroad program where students experience business communication across cultures. He also has the honor of serving as faculty advisor for the Hispanic Business Student Association at Texas State University, a hardworking and dedicated group of students with grit and resilience.  
Dr. Frei has co-authored numerous journal articles and book chapters on professional communication, training and development, and instructional innovation. Dr. Frei’s research has been presented at national and international conferences. He is also a dedicated leader in professional organizations, serving in various capacities for the Association for Business Communication, Central States Communication Association, and the National Communication Association. 
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Frei has worked as a consultant with clients including Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, providing expertise in public speaking, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family as they travel the world together. He also enjoys woodworking and gardening in his (limited) free time
